As a young athlete, immersed into various sports (water polo, running, and above all practising capoeira, the Brazilian martial art and dance form), I naturally became interested in physiotherapy. It was the perfect way to turn my passion for movement into a professional path dedicated to health, sport, and the rehabilitation of the musculoskeletal system.
My training with Ivaldo Bertazzo at the São Paulo Movement School deepened my understanding of muscle chains and introduced me to the Godelieve Denys-Struyf (GDS) method, as well as massage techniques, including deep tissue and sport massage, myofascial release, and circuit stretching. These remain central to my practice today.
For over 35 years and still continuing, I have trained and taught as a capoeira master, specialising in handstands and coordinated, harmonious movements. This long‑term, hands‑on experience allows me to see the body as a living whole, not just a set of symptoms, and to guide patients toward better awareness, balance, and recovery.
I have committed my life to working in physiotherapy, movement re‑education, and integrating functional movements, capoeira, animal flow, and calisthenics into rehabilitation and performance programmes. My approach is holistic, patient‑centred, and always rooted in the idea that movement is both the starting point and the goal.
I am fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
